My art - and its many forms

Nature, the landscape and the interaction by humans on and with, form my inspiration. As a mixed media visual artist, I work across multiple disciplines including drawing, painting, printmaking, book making, fabric art, collage and sculpture. My work is expressionistic and driven by the process of creating through my visual voice. I am continually exploring and pushing my visual language, to capture my reactions to the many colours, textures, moods, shapes and emotions of the land, seas and sky.

I enjoy working across a variety of media and substrates enabling me to explore the environment from differing perspectives, with differing media and substates reacting to and recording my responses to the landscape uniquely. I also incorporate and use found objects from the landscape itself to make marks, stain or imprint themselves into the work providing a very direct way of recording and capturing the landscape.
